A little bit about me.

I just realized that I don't really like these intro kind of posts but I thought I should put one up anyways. My name is Amany Killawi and I am 19. I (Wish I can stay that young forever). Either way, I'm a Muslim Arab Syrian American. Raised and born in Detroit.

I'm a junior in the School of Social Work at Wayne State University and a youth intern at Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion. I enjoy longs walks on the beach and watching sunsets. No Just kidding. (but those two activities are overrated  anyways :p). I am developing every day and so are my interests, but currently I enjoy a good game of basketball and love playing most sports for that matter. I am an avid reader, voracious about Detroit, and into community development and organization (which is what my concentration in Social Work will be) as well as self-development and improvement.

I’m also a Detroit Future Media participant in the media organizing track, which is really the purpose of this blog.
Oh, and I wear goggles when I chop onions, but I believe that's enough about me for now. :)
